Cleaner design and fixed application display issues.

We've made several improvements to make NavEd cleaner and more reliable.

We've reorganized the features page to highlight what matters most for your school. You'll now see core functionality front and center, making it easier to understand what's available to your team.

Teachers and staff will no longer see a black screen when working with student applications. We also fixed styling problems in the applications list that were making it hard to read data.

NavEd now has all the core features you'd expect from a modern student management system.

We're thrilled to ship the foundational tools that make NavEd useful for day-to-day school operations. Teachers can now manage subjects, enter grades, and track student progress. Students have a portal to view their grades and attendance. Parents can monitor their children's performance in real time.

We also gave the entire interface a visual refresh using modern component design, making everything cleaner and easier to navigate.

This release represents the first complete version of NavEd—the foundation we'll build on for years to come.

We've rolled out three powerful updates to make school communications more professional and flexible.

Heads of Department can now plan ahead with blog post scheduling and preview functionality. Write your announcements, set them to publish at the perfect time, and preview exactly how they'll look before they go live. No more last-minute scrambles to get important messages out.

Every email from your school now carries the NavEd brand polish. Our new professional email template system ensures consistent, polished communication with parents, staff, and students. Your messages look great in every inbox, on every device.

Parents now have more control over their children's accounts.

We've added new account management features that give parents the ability to help their students maintain secure and up-to-date account information.

Parents can now update their child's email address with a built-in verification process to keep accounts secure. They can also send password reset links directly, making it easy to help students regain access to their accounts.

All changes go through an email verification process to prevent unauthorized account modifications, and both parents and students receive clear email confirmations when account changes are initiated.

GPA calculations capped at 100% and a fresh focus on micro schools.

We fixed a bug where extra credit assignments could artificially inflate GPA calculations above 100%. Student GPAs will now accurately reflect their true performance.

We've also completely repositioned NavEd to better serve the growing community of micro schools, independent programs, and alternative learning centers. Our messaging and features now reflect what makes your school unique.

Happy New Year! We're kicking off 2026 with a free gradebook and better discoverability.

Teachers can now create a gradebook in seconds, add up to 10 students, set weighted assignments, and track grades in real-time—all without signing up. No login required, no credit card needed. When you're ready to manage your entire school or classroom, you can upgrade to get unlimited students, student portals, parent access, and all the other NavEd features.

We've also launched our blog with educational content for teachers, and improved how NavEd appears in Google search results with richer snippets and FAQ sections.

School admins now get more actionable intelligence in their weekly digest, including attendance insights with lists of students with chronic absences and staff status updates.
