Will a college take a transcript we made ourselves?
Yes. A transcript is the school's own record of what a student studied and what they earned, on the school's letterhead and signed by the person who runs it. NavEd builds that record out of the grades already in your gradebook. It costs nothing on every plan, including the plan that costs nothing.

It carries your school's name
Your school's name and address head the page, and the signature line at the foot of it belongs to whoever runs the school. The transcript comes from the school, not from a piece of software.
It shows the whole picture
Courses grouped under the year they were taken, with credits, letter grades, and both a weighted and an unweighted GPA. Your own grading scale prints on the page, so nobody has to guess what an A means at your school.
It is yours to take
Download the PDF whenever you want, for one student or a whole grade level. Getting your own records out of NavEd is never something you pay for.
TRANSCRIPTS
The record a college reads, printed by the school that taught the student
Everything on the transcript is already in NavEd. Opening one reads the grades, applies your grade scale, and lays the page out the way a registrar expects to see it.
Nothing about a transcript is stored separately, which is why a correction to a grade in October shows up on the transcript in October. A school that changes its grade scale, or fixes a grade from two years ago, does not have to reissue anything by hand.
The header is the school's own: name, address, and a line for the signature of whoever runs it. That is what makes it the school's record rather than a printout, and it is the same whether the school has eleven students or three hundred.
- Grouped by year, with credits : Each year of coursework sits under its own heading with credit values, letter grades, and a running GPA.
- The grading scale, on the page : Every letter grade, its percentage range, and its GPA points print on the transcript itself, so the reader has what they need to read it.
- A whole grade level at once : Download every senior's transcript in one pass instead of opening them one by one.
- A free builder anyone can use : There is also a transcript builder at /transcript/ that needs no account and no school. Anyone can use it, and it is free the same way this is.
